Madison Community Foundation and the City of Madison today announced a plan that will accelerate the implementation of body-worn cameras for the Madison Police Department. In this plan, Madison Community Foundation will award the City a $350,000 grant to cover the software and civilian personnel costs associated with implementing the program, removing a financial barrier and accelerating the current three-year plan to achieve a full rollout in 2027.

After 18 years with Madison Community Foundation, 13 of which he spent leading the organization as President and CEO, Bob Sorge announced today that he will be retiring at the end of 2026.
