Preserving and Enhancing Lodi
LACE was founded in 2009 by a group of seven local citizens. These citizens created the financial and legal framework to facilitate local philanthropy to preserve and enhance Lodi’s proud legacy of cultural, educational and environmental gifts.
LACE’s mission is to provide charitable resources that will enrich the greater Lodi community for present and future generations. Resources from LACE will be available for educational and civic projects within the geographical boundaries of the School District of Lodi.

Proceeds from this event benefit the Lodi Area Community Endowment (LACE). Event proceeds help grow the endowment for future generations and support LACE’s matching grant campaign, maximizing the impact of every dollar donated.
The suggested donation includes 1 entry for door prize, gift bag from sponsors, and a meal provided by Lodi Sausage Company. On course flag prizes will also be awarded. Golfers who are not members of the Lodi Golf Course will be responsible for Greens Fees and Cart Fees, which will be paid on the day of the event with the Clubhouse. If you do not sign up a foursome, you can be paired with other golfers.
Multiply the Good
Every $2 LACE raises is matched with $1—up to $50,000—turning $100,000 into $150,000 for our community endowment.
How it Works
You give. Donate any amount—large or small.
A friend matches. An anonymous donor adds 50¢ for every dollar you give (up to $50,000).
Endowment grows. Those funds earn investment income every year, supporting local grants forever.
Example: Your $100 becomes $150 for residents in the Lodi School District—fueling educational, cultural, environmental, and civic projects.

- LACE partners with MCF to take advantage of MCF’s fund management expertise and oversight, and to make our grantmaking more efficient. Working with MCF also helps minimize administrative costs, allowing us to maximize the amount of money we have available for making grants.
- Through our partnership with MCF, we can accept gifts of cash, securities, real estate, life insurance and retirement funds. Your contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
- MCF invests the funds for long-term growth, preserving the principal while making a percentage of the endowment’s value available annually for Lodi area nonprofit projects and programs.
