Apply for a LACE Grant

The Lodi Area Community Endowment (LACE) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the greater Lodi area for present and future generations. LACE will accept grant requests from qualifying tax‐ exempt organizations. Key interest areas include: educational, cultural, environmental, and/or civic interests.

LACE grants are limited to projects that serve people who reside in the area bounded by the School District of Lodi. LACE does not fund endowments, loans or re‐grant programs, multi‐year commitments, religious activities, individuals, or groups without a 501(c)(3) designation, other foundations, organizations that practice discrimination, political activities, or travel expenses.

Grant applications are due by July 1.

LACE Grant Guidelines

  • Grant requests must be postmarked/emailed by July 1st to be considered for the current funding year.
  • Grant recipients may not apply for a second grant in the same calendar year.
  • Grant recipients must submit a final report (one page) or discuss their funded project at a LACE event within two years of the grant disbursement.

Recent LACE Grants

In 2024, LACE awarded a total of $21,618 in grants to nine local organizations.

  • Blessings in a Backpack: This organization provides food on weekends for children in need.
  • Friends of the Lodi Dog Park: Dedicated to managing a play spot for our 4-legged friends. Funds will be used toward a new dog park in Lodi.
  • Habitat for Humanity Wisconsin River Area: Through Shelter, We Empower. Funds were used to help with ramp repairs.
  • Ice Age Nordic: This group maintains the free community ski trails and supports the development of Nordic Skiing grades 1-12. Funds will be used for signage and storage building repairs.
  • Lake Melvin Yacht Club: Created more than 15 years ago, the Lake Melvin Yacht Club is “neighbors helping neighbors in need.” Located in the Village of Dane, the Yacht Club assists families in need in the school district of Lodi by helping pay for rent, fuel, electricity and other day-to-day needs.
  • Lodi & Lake Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce Foundation: Funding was used toward a commissioned metal sculpture featuring Susie the Duck.
  • Lodi HS Weight Room Updates: Funding was awarded for upgrades to the weight room.
  • Okee Bay/Mill Pond Lake Association: Funds were used to address the invasive aquatic plants within DNR approved treatment areas.
  • Reach Out Lodi: Reach Out Lodi provides a safe and welcoming community center where residents can gather and a community store that supports the individuals and families who struggle with their basic living needs. Funding was used toward “Social Sunday” featuring food and entertainment.
